Here in North Norfolk we have some amazing beaches, picturesque and full of wildlife. There is a poison destroying this… Litter! Walking along our beautiful beaches it can be very disheartening to see the way our coast and oceans are being used as a dumping ground for our rubbish. Fear not though there is a way we as a race can help and protect our marine environment from the damage this litter causes, particularly plastic. Join in with a beach clean! The Marine Conservation Society has organisers who arrange beach cleans that the public can join in. All you have to do is visit the Marine Conservation Society and find a beach clean near you. Michelle Duddy is currently the beachwatch organiser for Sea Palling, Bacton, Walcott and Mundesley and can advise you where and when they are taking place. If you use facebook and would like regular updates visit our page and like us. This website is to inform people about beachwatch and will have regular updates of when the beach cleans are taking place and where and where we need beachwatch organisers and sea champion volunteers. Our Beach Clean volunteers!
